Oversees the department's operation in the absence of a manager. Leads employees to exceed customer expectations ensuring patients are being transported in timely fashion. Makes informed decisions, within established guidelines, to serve customers and employees. Communicates and interacts daily with customers (Nursing, Unit Coordinators, Practice Administrators, patients, public, etc.). Transports patients, specimen, deceased patients and other related transport functions. Cleans transport equipment on a daily basis. Job Description: Primary Responsibilities: 1. In conjunction with the manager/supervisor, schedules and assigns duties for the shift ensuring patients are transported in a timely manner and according to quality standards on the East and West Campus. Monitors daily activities of department work and reports any performance related issues (including conduct, quality, quantity, timeliness) to the supervisor/manager. (essential) 2.
