Job description

GL Accountant RESPONSIBILITIES: As a GL Accountant, you will play a key role in financial analysis and reporting for our Belgian legal entity. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of month-end closing activities, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and collaborate with the wider finance community and other departments to support best practices and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities: - Maintain General Ledger Accounts : Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger. - Account Reconciliation: Perform regular balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Fixed Asset Accounting : Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of assets in accordance with accounting standards and company policy. - Monthly Closings : Prepare and execute timely financial closings, including journal entries and reconciliations. - Financial Reporting: Generate accurate financial statements and monthly group reporting in HFM Hyperion. - Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. - Compli...
