As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer criminal history background check, physical examination and drug screen. All employees must also submit proof of identity and employment eligibility. Job Description: This position performs skilled investigative and regulatory work to ensure compliance with City codes and ordinances governing businesses, occupations, and the collection of occupational taxes and licensing fees. The role is responsible for regulating business and occupational activities, including taxi cabs and livery vehicles, occupational equipment and machinery, and motor vehicle salvage yards, as well as enforcing applicable City codes and ordinances. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and experience in public contact work, preferable related to business, occupation, or building trades; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as listed above. Knowledge of PC applications and 10-key. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with the public courteously and tactfully.
