Accounting Manager

Job description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for oversight of the accounting functions for factoring operations, including management of the other accounting staff. This position will ensure that Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, internal controls, and accounting and company processes are followed efficiently and effectively. Your role will interface between executive management, governmental agencies, staff, customers, and vendors. Additionally, this individual will play a key role in compiling financial statements, job analysis for executive management. The position reports to the Controller. Duties and Responsibilities: - Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll - Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements - Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation - Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies and procedures - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy - Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development - Co...
