Job description

Education: - Develops, coordinates, implements and evaluates the plan of care with patients s/p CABG, Valvular repair or replacement, MI, PTCA with or without STENT placement AND Stable angina. Instruct patients on appropriate low-level activity as per department policy & procedure. Evaluates patients cardiac status before, during and after exercise, including instruction and supervision of a structured progressive monitored activity program for all candidates. Organizes and conducts patient and family groups for the purpose of supportive counseling, exercise limitations and coronary artery disease. Age Specific Competencies: Young Adult- Geriatric. - Provides a Safe and Stimulating Environment for Patients and assumes responsibility for the total needs of the patients including physical, psychological and education daily. Assesses patients needs, sets priorities, and evaluates EKG, vital signs, and other responses to exercise daily. Adapts present exercise regime to sudden change in cardiac status.
