Staff Accountant

Job description

As a Staff Accountant you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and contributing to the timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes. Essential Functions: o Prepare and post journal entries. o Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. o Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, receivables, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities. o Analyze financial data and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions. o Assist with the preparation of internal financial reports and supporting schedules. o Maintain and update fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules. o Process accounts payable. o Record cash receipts. o Support tax filing processes and regulatory reporting. o Assist in the preparation for annual audits, including gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests. o Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and company policies. o Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflows...
