Department: MRI: Job Summary: Under the direction of a radiologist, performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical imaging studies. Independent judgment, technical skills, and commitment to patient safety are considered requisite professional characteristics for individuals assuming the position of a MRI technologist. Education: - Performs high quality MRI imaging studies by selecting specific software parameters that will produce a quality image for use by physicians in their determination of a diagnosis. Obtains protocols from radiologists and complies with image sequences defined in protocols.
