Department Overview This position requires a PhD in Developmental Biology, Genetics and Preimplantation Embryo Development, Pluripotent Stem Cell Biology, Genome Editing, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will conduct research focused on correction of various pathogenic mutations in gametes and/or early preimplantation embryos using advanced genome editing approaches. The work will involve advanced gamete and embryo manipulation techniques combined with genetic, epigenetic, transcriptomic, genome editing, sequencing, and bioinformatics approaches in support of the mission and strategic initiatives of the OHSU Center for Embryonic Cell and Gene Therapy (CECGT). Function/Duties of Position: The candidate will design and execute independent, hands-on experiments; maintain rigorous laboratory documentation; collect, organize, analyze, and interpret complex datasets; and prepare manuscripts for publication.
