POSITION SUMMARY: To support patient safety and the hospital’s medication management system through the preparation, verification and supply of medications. QUALIFICATIONS: RESPONSIBILITIES: NOTE: This position will be mainly at Charlton Campus, but may be scheduled to work at other campuses as well. - Successful completion of a Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program, OR graduation from an OCP recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program - Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a registered Part-A Pharmacy Technician - Demonstrated accuracy in computer order entry, pharmaceutical arithmetic, and application of pharmaceutical and medical terminology - Demonstrated accuracy in the performance of technical tasks including medication preparation and checking - Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively - Ability to communicate effectively and cooperate with co-workers - Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment - Training and experience in non-sterile and/or sterile compounding preferred - Excellent attendance and work record is essent...
