Job description
VHIR is seeking a Research Technician to join the Neurovascular Research Group. Our lab focuses on stroke research and dementia from both basic and translational perspectives. The group is composed of a highly motivated team of researchers and neuroscientists. The selected candidate will give support to several experimental studies related to stroke disease within the PReDICT Project to investigate the genetic basis of paediatric stroke and participating in a multicentre consortium. Main responsibilities and duties: Perform cell culture assays. Manage a data base of a clinical cohort Collect, process, and store samples for downstream analyses. Conduct molecular biology experiments, including ELISA, Western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence and other molecular and cellular biology techniques. Analyse data, including statistical evaluation using GraphPad Prism, SPSS, and R programming for data analysis and visualization, or equivalent software. Prepare scientific reports interpreting experimental results. Collaborate effectively within a research team, contributing to experimental planning and troubleshooting.
