Hiring Rate (Basic $57,750) (Advanced $60,638) Purpose of Classification: The purpose of this classification is to respond to and assist on emergency and non-emergency medical calls, disasters, multi-casualty situations, fires and /or all other types of emergencies; and treat illnesses and injuries of adult and pediatric patients, often under stressful and hazardous conditions, while operating under a complex system of standing orders. Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this classification. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Operates emergency vehicle to and from the scene to facilitate the transport of sick and injured patients to the appropriate facility, in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
