Assistant Professor, Finance (Professional Track)

Job description

Elmhurst University invites applications for a Professional-Track Assistant Professor in Finance in the School of Business. This is a full-time, teaching-centered faculty position for an educator committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate business education, student engagement, and curricular innovation. The successful candidate will teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate finance courses as well as graduate finance courses. While the primary emphasis of the position is teaching, mentoring, and program contribution, faculty in this role are also expected to remain active in scholarly activity and/or professional development appropriate to a professional-track appointment and consistent with growth and promotion. The School of Business is integrating AI into the curriculum, and we welcome candidates who can thoughtfully incorporate AI tools—especially for research and analytical purposes—into finance teaching. Candidates who can also teach selected economics and/or accounting courses and/or who bring substantial corporate or relevant professional experience will be especially attractive.
