**This opportunity is a direct hire with one of our clients for in person work based out of Tucson, AZ. U.S. work authorization is required and no sponsorship is available.** We are seeking a dynamic Optical Systems Engineer who will operate in a fast growing industry supporting amazing technology development around the world. This role will dive into development of test systems, initial design concepts, and support deployment of systems hardware in the field. We are looking for an innovative thinker to join our small, dynamic and supportive technical team who can stop into an exciting project, take ownership and start contributing with their breadth of knowledge. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver integrated test systems (optics, mechanics, data acquisition, and software) Lead concept design, define assumptions, and evaluate cost/performance tradeoffs Partner with project management on WBS, planning, and execution across design, manufacturing, QC, and commissioning Design and analyze optical systems, including imaging and metrology models Perform perturbation analysis and develop error budgets Drive manufacturable, cost-effective solutions with the technical team Develop tools/...
