College: SOWELA Department: Academic Affairs: Sub department: School of Transportation & Applied Technology Type of Appointment: Unclassified - Faculty 10 month Salary: Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for teaching assigned courses and associated labs in Industrial Mechanics for Millwrights and Machinists in accordance with the college’s workload policy. Required Education : High School or equivalent Required Experience : Five years of related industry or equivalent military experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment with both small and large groups. Required Licenses or Certifications : N/A Preferred Education : Technical diploma in Millwright and Machinist Preferred Experience : Three years of teaching in post-secondary education or military equivalent; three years of leadership experience or military equivalent - Facilitate instruction, in accordance with the NCCER curriculum, using engaging and hands-on delivery methods. - Maintain familiarity and adherence to school policy. - Participate in the assessment and development of student learning outcomes. - Establish, maintain, and submit accurate student an...
