Perform quality control inspection activities at various points in the production process. Incumbent is expected to be knowledgeable and to perform QC activities in all specific areas, such as: fabrication and trailer set-up, general assembly, final assembly inspection of all trailers, and final approval of all trailers. Inspectors must be familiar with all phases of trailer design and construction (dimensions, welds, equipment, and acceptability standards). WHAT YOU’LL DO: Quality Inspector I: Performs assigned QC area audits (materials, in process, finished product, etc.) to ensure each trailer meets established quality standards for structural integrity, functionality, and appearance. Completes QC checklists identifying items to be corrected prior to release from production.
