JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN II DEPARTMENT: FACILITY OPERATIONS SALARY RANGE: $54,000 – $58,000 FLSA: NON - EXEMPT IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Facility Operations Supervisor - Springfield SCHEDULE DETAILS: Full-time/12-month position/PEERS: Position Summary: The Lead Electrical Technician plays a critical role in supporting the operation and safety of the community college's facilities. This hands-on position is responsible for overseeing electrical systems across multiple campuses, performing skilled maintenance, and ensuring all electrical infrastructure operates efficiently and in compliance with codes and standards. Essential Job Duties: - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components including lighting, power distribution, and control systems. - Perform routine and emergency maintenance on systems such as MDPs, transformers, HVAC units, boilers, chillers, air compressors, and other facility equipment. - Lead and coordinate electrical projects, providing guidance to technicians and contractors as needed. - Serve as the primary point of contact for external electrical contractors, ensuring work meets college standards and project timelines. - Interpre...
