Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is seeking a patient focused Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our driven Neurosurgery team. We provide specialized and evidence-based approaches to diagnosing and treating pediatric conditions involving the brain and nervous system. Our team is dedicated to evaluating and treating infants, children, and teens. If you have a desire to be challenged clinically, a passion for safety, have excellent diagnostic skills and a passion to work with medically complex children, this position is for you. Essential Functions: - Work both independently and as a team member to support the inpatient and outpatient team in the care of patients from the pre-natal period to young adulthood - Evaluate and manage pediatric neurosurgery inpatients, including history/physical examinations, coordination of care, order entry, documentation - Interdisciplinary discussion and collaboration to provide support for patients on the acute care neurosurgery service, as well as consults requested on neurosurgical patients who are hospitalized on other services (NICU, PICU, ED, Newborn, etc.) - Evaluate, screen and counsel patients on health maintenance and...
