Lead Processing Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY: Constellis is hiring a Lead Processing Engineer to own the Processing domain end-to-end. This role defines architecture, standards, and technical direction for how raw sensor data becomes authoritative normalized events within Lexso. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role — equal parts architect, mentor, and builder. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Own the Processing architecture and data contracts - Define normalization standards and schema enforcement strategy - Design spatial enrichment workflows (zones, H3, ENU, grids) - Lead technical decisions for stream processing frameworks - Review and approve Processing PRs and designs - Establish testing, validation, and quality gates - Coordinate with Ingestion, Spatial Grid, Reactor, and UI leads - Mentor Processing Engineers and set development best practices - Represent Processing in cross-team technical discussions QUALIFICATIONS: - 8 years of experience designing data processing or streaming systems - 5 years of experience engineering in Python - 5 years of experience understanding event-driven architectures - Experience defining and enforcing schemas at scale - Geospatial processing experience (H3, polygons, point-in-pol...
