Sterilization Technician

Job description

The Sterilization Technician is a key part of the ultimate patient experience. The Sterilization Technician is responsible for sterilizing all clinical equipment throughout the workday and maintaining a clean and orderly workflow. Responsibilities: Properly sterilize all dental instruments and equipment in accordance with departmental standards Perform all opening of the front, closing, and maintenance procedures as well as other duties as delegated by the Clinical Coordinator Restock and maintain an inventory of dental supplies and instruments to assure a constant level is always available Communicate to the Clinical Coordinator, any supplies that need replenishing or replacement Maintain order and cleanliness in the dental lab and in the sterilization area Maintain proper pre-set trays and ensure they are ready for anticipated procedures and ready all necessary materials and instruments needed for treatment Assist clinical staff in optimizing patient flow. This will include restocking technician stations during clinic hours if needed, seating patients, “floating,” and supporting other dental team members with patient care.
