Job Title: Nursing Clinical Specialty Manager- Pre Renal Transplant -Mount Sinai Hospital- Part Time - Days The Nursing Clinical Specialty Manager for Transplant is an Advanced Practice Nurse with advanced and diverse clinical and leadership knowledge and skills and assumes a direct leadership responsibility for the practice of the Transplant Nurse Coordinators and support staff in the Transplant Program. Responsibility extends to ongoing program development, quality assurance/performance improvement, staff development and promotion of multi-disciplinary program activity. In addition, demonstrates responsibility for facilitating positive interaction with all departments and personnel involved in the transplant process and for public and professional education about the transplant process. 1. Is responsible and accountable for their own nursing practice. 2. Responsible for 24 hour back-up on-call for each clinical program, providing advanced clinical, financial and management input to the organization and scheduling of organ procurements and transplants. 3.
