Position Overview: - Department: Supply Chain - Schedule: Full Time Days, Partially remote - Hospital: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham - Benefits for eligible positions include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: Under general supervision, to perform purchasing functions and any other activities related to the procurement of goods and services for any UAB Health System entity and participate in the contracting and value analysis process. To interact with vendors and departments to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and service levels are met and/or exceeded. 1. Reviews, processes, and/or approves requisitions and payment requests to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory laws. 2. Ensure all orders are processed and acknowledged by the vendor utilizing system tools and other resources. (Identify and resolve any issues with order placement or confirmation.) 3.
