Job Title : Technical Engineering Manager, Gear & Transmission Job Summary: Responsibility: Provides resource allocation, manages priorities, and provides design and engineering status reports. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all gear types, including helical, bevel, worm, planetary, and especially high-performance hypoid/spiral bevel sets. Oversee the design, analysis, and optimization of gears and bearing arrangements to meet noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) and durability targets. Collaborate with plant operations to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM), specifically regarding gear grinding, lapping, and heat treatment processes. Create and control engineering design documentation. Assure quality of design, analysis, models and prints through established design reviews. Provides technical oversight and guidance of the Core Engineering Specialists on the Team.
