We Energies , a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking Utility Laborer s in our Metro Milwaukee Area. This position is represented by our We Energies L2006 Union. Job Summary: Performs and assists other Field Operations personnel in all aspects of the operation, maintenance, construction, installation and documentation of the utility’s natural gas distribution system. Job Responsibilities: - Installation and testing of meters. - Work at regulation stations. - Determining locations of company facilities based on GIS records. - Spotting of employees while moving vehicle equipment. - Hand digging. - Backfilling of excavations. - Installation of erosion control measures. - Cutting and threading steel pipe. - Preparation and inspection of material for installation. - Securement of areas with cation tape, barricades, cones, flashers, plywood, fencing, etc. - Leak testing with soap. Inside and Outside Leak investigations including appliance safety inspections. - Emergency Response. - Independently perform maintenance and preparatory tasks in support of field operations work. - Painting of company and customer piping/equipment. - Fabrication of threading and bolted piping assemblies. -...
