Job description

The School of Professional Studies seeks an adjunct faculty member to deliver high quality learning experiences and education for students in the online, asynchronous, self-paced format beginning at various points throughout the year. Instructors will deliver a pre-developed course, adding their subject matter expertise and real-world examples to developed content. Instructors will play an important role in the continuous improvement and overall success of the course. The selected candidate will have responsibilities teaching Organic Chemistry lecture and lab courses to self-paced, online, part-time learners. Subject matters may include structure and bonding of organic molecules, stereochemistry, nomenclature, the structure and function of multifunctional compounds, etc. - Delivers didactic and laboratory instruction in an online, self-paced format. - Uses the University’s learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students - Facilitates student progress in an asynchronous environment by providing timely, individualized feedback on assessments and learning activities. - Advises and assists students through office hours or sc...
