JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Summary: The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining good vendor/customers relationship by maintaining and developing all aspects of the production quality operating system, ensuring appropriate product development support through change control/ launch and ensuring all systems/criteria shall be developed, documented, and maintained to ensure consistent quality assurance. Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities: - Attend program meetings (SDT, ECO-ECR) as the primary plant representative. - Prepare PPAP/ SREA submissions for customers. Coordinate with venders, materials and production to insure effective, on-time implementation. - Understand all aspects of the build process including PFMEA, Control Plan, Operator Instructions (ODS), Operator Training (EIS), Error-Proofing, Critical and Significant Characteristics and the modes to improve these in order to provide world class seating products to our customers. Manage accuracy and updates of the Control Plan as required. - Investigate, develop, trial and implement value-added vendor and process changes according to plan to improve efficiency, reduce variance and eliminate waste. - Coordinate build quality o...
