Laboratory Technician II - Anatomic Pathology - ( 26001568 ) Description The Department of Pathology is seeking a Laboratory Technician II to, under general supervision, performs difficult technical procedures and allied duties related to the function of a service laboratory; maintains laboratory area and equipment. Performs a variety of laboratory tasks related to processing specimens, computer/clerical duties, routine lab maintenance, and supply distribution. This position is 100%-time, Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts between 0500-1930, based on the needs of the lab. Duties to include: · Delivers completed cases to appropriate personnel in the department of anatomic pathology (match-up). · Maintains Hematoxylin and Eosin automated stainer. · Files paraffin blocks and unstained slides. · Demonstrates effective communication skills. · Performs other projects and tasks as assigned.
