Materials & Process Engineering - Tech Spec III (Sealants, Adhesives, Coatings) in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: Education BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree. Additional advanced degree(s) in a related field preferred, but not required. The M&P Engineering Non-metallics/Composites team is seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing or a related field, with specialization in sealants, adhesives, polymers, coatings and metal/composite-bonding of aircraft structures (primary and secondary) The preferred candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment. Close coordination with other members of the M&P Engineering team to develop deliverables for in-production aircraft programs, such as: - Extensive experience with a variety of aerospace sealants, adhesives, polymers, coatings systems and relevant discrepancies (Material Review Board / MRB) - Deep knowledge of epoxy chemistry, polymer science, surface preparation techniques, and non-destructive inspection (NDI) of bonded joints. - Experience with performing evaluation,...
