POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Therapy sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or cardiac disease. When qualified by experience and trained may perform the duties of an RRT. NICU as applicable. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education: None Minimum Work Experience: None Required Licenses/Certifications: Texas State license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. CPR required. All CRTs that are RRT eligible must obtain or attempt to obtain the RRT credential within 6 months of hire. All CURRENT employees that do not have the college course or courses that are required by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) to be eligible for the RRT credential will be "grandfathered" in so to not have this requirement. All NEW employees, hired on or after 11/11/2019, that do not have the required college course/courses that are required by the NBRC to be eligible for the RRT credential will be given 18 months from hire date to complete all necessary courses.
