Title: Senior Staff Accountant Location: Alexandria, VA: US Citizenship: Required: Responsibilities: Requirements: Equal Opportunity Employer/Veteran/Disabled - Lead the monthly financial close process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with corporate policies and procedures - Prepare management and operational reporting packages - Improve the accuracy and completeness of financial budgets and forecasts aligned with business strategy - Safeguard company assets and ensure accurate, complete, and timely recording of transactions through strong internal controls - Oversee the accuracy and productivity of day‑to‑day accounting functions, including accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general ledger accounting, and cost accounting - Perform financial analysis to support business initiatives, capital expenditures, product costing, and special projects - Government contracting and cost accounting: Apply FAR and DFARS, CAS, and DCAA guidance; classify unallowable costs; and support provisional and final rates, ICE preparation, and audits - This ro...
