The Advance Practice Nurse is a self directed nurse practitioner with advanced knowledge, skill and competence in a defined area of nursing practice. The individual functions as an educator, consultant, and coordinator of care and is a primary provider of care for a select group of patients. Covers STD Clinic. The ANP is responsible to a designated physician for supervision of patient case management/prescription writing. Primary Responsibilities: Clinical Practice Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill necessary to independently provide care to clients within specialty area and across the health care continuum.
