Job description

This is a 32 hours per week position and must have the ability to work evenings and weekends. Summary: Ensures that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service. Routinely performs and/or assists with selling and stocking in the shop. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Greets customers, ascertains customer needs and provides advice in selecting merchandise. - Opens and closes cash registers, performing tasks such as accurately counting money, processing credit card transactions and balancing cash drawer. - Stocks merchandise; keeps store floor organized, neat and attractive. - Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters or tables to attract customers and promote sales. - Assists in maintaining inventory stock room in an organized manner. - Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges and security practices. - Stamps, attaches or changes price tags on merchandise, referring to price list, when needed. - Ensures that all applicable sa...
