BackOffice provides a comprehensive accounting platform for multi-unit restaurants, automating financial operations, and ensuring compliance through the calculation and submission of sales and payroll taxes. We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director, Tax Operations , to lead our tax service delivery. This pivotal role is responsible for the end-to-end operational strategy and execution of our tax function, ensuring accurate and timely compliance for thousands of restaurant locations across federal, state, and local jurisdictions, with a strong emphasis on multi-state sales and payroll taxes. You will own the service delivery, drive improvements in internal processes and automation, lead a team of tax specialists, and ensure seamless data flows from various systems to tax engines. Partnering closely with Operations, Customer Success, Product/Engineering, and external advisors, you will enhance quality, and profitability while mitigating tax risks. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring deep expertise in tax compliance, operational excellence, and team development.
