Location: Francis 5C (FR5C), Medical/Surgical General Care (General Care) Patient Care Type: This is a medical and surgical unit where nursing care is provided for a variety of patients. Surgical specialty includes hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers. Bed #: 27: Nursing Team Roles: Special emphasis is placed on patient and family education, emotional needs, and discharge planning. Nursing personnel have the opportunity to become adept at caring for medical patients and postoperative patients who have undergone procedures complex surgeries for patients with pancreatic, stomach, liver, and appendiceal cancers.
