Description JOB TITLE: Purchasing Specialist: ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Purchasing: SUPERVISOR: Director of Purchasing: FLSA: Non-Exempt: Pay Range: $15.00-$25.00: ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family. JOB SUMMARY: Assist the Assistant Purchasing Manager with all procurement and ordering as needed within established guidelines. The Purchasing Specialist will also assist with determining order tactics, selecting vendors, following up with vendors for receipt and delivery information, placing orders, negotiating prices, setting up new vendor accounts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Assist with obtaining price quotes. · Research and evaluate vendors based on product price, quality, selection and availability. · Maintain vendor list and files, obtain vendor billing information. · Compile and review data, prepare vendor correspondence. · Inform departments of the availability of materials and delivery schedules. · Review requisitions in order to verify accur...
