Job description
POSITION GOAL: To perform semi-skilled work, under the direction of the head facilities serviceperson, in the supervision and participation of the cleaning program to maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, appearance and safe condition of the facilities, and be able to operate various mechanical systems in a responsible and accurate manner in the performance of assigned responsibilities. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Head Facilities Serviceperson (Elementary Middle School/ Exceptional Child Center) shall carry out the performance responsibilities listed below: - Review work performed by Facilities Serviceperson and other employees assigned to the shift as assigned by the head custodian. - Instruct subordinate personnel in the proper use of supplies, equipment, chemicals, ladders and safety procedures. - Perform the duties of Facilities Serviceperson. - Activate, monitor, adjust and turn off boilers, air conditioning equipment, power sources, etc. - Climb steps and ladders to change light bulbs and effect minor repairs when directed by the head facilities serviceperson, principal and/or administrator of the school/center. - Verify the security of the school p...
