JOB TITLE: ALLIED HEALTH INSTRUCTOR – MEDICAL ASSISTANT DEPARTMENT: HEALTH SCIENCES SALARY RANGE: $37,000 - $45,000 FLSA: EXEMPT IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Allied Health Program Director SCHEDULE DETAILS: Full-time/12-month position/PSRS: Position Summary: The Instructor will be responsible for the instruction and management of the medical assistant program and will maintain professionalism within their specialized field, including currency and required certifications. Essential Job Duties: - Maintain current knowledge and skill in field of specialization and areas of instruction. - Maintain professionalism and vocational certifications, as required by position and by the State of Missouri. - Assist the Medical Assistant Program Manager and the Allied Health Program Director with program development and revisions. - Provide quality instruction which is reflective of current discipline standards and is accurate, relevant, and engaging using college/state –approved curriculum and resources. - Incorporate pedagogical strategies such as active learning, authentic and problem-based activities, and other successful teaching strategies into classroom instruction. - Foster a positive classroom...
