How could it not be? It’s babies for goodness' sake. You bring psychological and emotional support, monitor mom and her newborn, and ensure the best medical care and resources when the need arises. Having a baby is one of the most vulnerable times in the lives of moms and dads and you’ve got their backs. Labor, birth, and postpartum never get routine for you.
