ROLE: We are seeking a Law Clerk to support the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona (USAO-AZ) in Tucson, Arizona. In this role, you will assist Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) with legal support that helps advance civil litigation, habeas corpus, and immigration habeas matters. Apply today!: RESPONSIBILITIES: - Work with assigned AUSAs and supervisory attorneys to review applicable laws, regulations, defenses, violations, and causes of action - Research and analyze federal, state, and local laws, including criminal and civil rules and procedures - Review case files, analyze case-related information, and alert attorneys to potential legal or procedural issues - Support 28 U.S.C. § 2255 habeas corpus and immigration habeas matters through docketing, calendaring, file coordination, drafting, and timely filing support - Coordinate with AUSAs and support staff to locate case files and materials needed to prepare legal responses - Analyze statutes, legislative intent, judicial precedents, agency rules, regulations, and law review articles relat...
