JOB SUMMARY: As a Technology Specialist on the IT Support Services team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to computer system users. In addition, in this role, you will be a resource for Associate Technology Specialists. JOB DESCRIPTION: Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications Supervisory responsibilities: None: ​ Work environment Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions Physical demands: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time Travel required: No: Required education and exp...
