Job Summary Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team. This full-time, hospital-employed position is based in a structured inpatient setting and offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients with acute psychiatric needs. The schedule is Monday-Friday, with a shared call rotation. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with a NYS License. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Core Job Responsibilities: - Conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and coordinate care plans - Work collaboratively with psychiatric nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and other support staff - Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds, treatment team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives - Participate in shared call - Engage in medical education through supervision and teaching of psychiatry residents - Demonstrate quality in documentation - Must be on site REQUIRED: - Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) and successful completion of a residency and internship. - Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilitie...
