Maintenance Specialist

Job description

The Maintenance Specialist ensures the safe, dependable, and efficient operation of all machinery and mechanical equipment within the distribution center. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots equipment issues, and repairs mechanical components, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery. Work is completed in accordance with diagrams, schematics, operating manuals, manufacturer guidelines, and engineering specifications. PRIMARY DUTIES: Preventive Maintenance: - Complete scheduled inspections and maintenance on motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and facility equipment. - Communicate PM needs and findings to Operations to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability. Diagnose Equipment: - Identify mechanical issues by observing machinery in operation and using diagnostic tools and technical references to determine root causes of failures. Repair and Rebuild Mechanical Components: - Safely dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment following lockout/tagout and manufacturer specifications while inspecting and replacing worn or damaged parts to restore full function.
