General Ledger Accountant, Office of the Controller - UT System Administration

Job description

This position serves as a General Ledger (GL) Accountant in the UT System Controller's Office. The GL Accountant will serve as the central point of oversight of the posting of source activity from each Oracle Cloud module into the General Ledger to ensure data integrity and accurate financial reporting. The GL Accountant works in collaboration with various university stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in GL postings in Oracle Cloud and implement corrective actions. Provides direction, guidance, and support in making corrections to subledger postings to ensure financial information is complete and correct. The position will cross train with the Associate and Assistant Controller on critical functions, playing a crucial role in year-end close. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Maintains, reviews, and reconciles the Oracle Cloud Payables module, Receivables module, and each of the university's 20+ bank accounts, to the general ledger, to ensure data integrity and accurate financial reporting. - Ensures accurate and timely processing of detected necessary corrections and adjustments. - Collaborates with campuses and institutes to resolve unapplied receipts,...
