Department: North 2 Telemetry Shift: Primarily Days (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular Per Diem Type (if applicable): Minimum Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.15 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Acute Care Assistant works under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide and assist with direct patient care services that do not require licensure. Primary tasks include patient hygiene, activities of daily living, nutritional support, vital signs, EKG’s, ambulating and other basic patient care activities as directed. Maintains positive public relations by interacting with patients, visitors, physicians and other staff members in a friendly and professional manner. Ensures the safe handling of infectious material(s) to protect all patients and employees. Education/Licensure/Certification: High School Graduate or GED required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
