DEPARTMENT: Mechanical Engineering POSITION TITLE: Lecturer Pool – Mechanical Engineering POSITION DETAILS: The Department of Mechanical Engineering is comprised of 14 full-time faculty members who support over 900 undergraduate students and more than 60 graduate students. The department offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree programs in Mechanical Engineering. These programs emphasize practical applications of engineering principles in the areas of design, manufacturing, materials science, aerospace, energy, and thermal sciences. The Mechanical Engineering Department invites applications for lecturers in all areas, for lower division, upper division and graduate courses. Duties of a part-time lecturer include instruction, class preparation, grading, and office hours. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs. Course assignments, including dates, time, and modality, are made by the Department Chair under the direction of the College Dean. Part-time lecturers are instructional faculty with conditional appointments based on enrollment and budget.
