Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; mentor and coach clinical staff; oversee workflows in the back office to ensure patients are triaged and roomed promptly; review logbooks to ensure proper documentation of injections, IUDs, Nexplanons etc.; other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Medical Assistant certification (such as NAHP, NCCT, AAMA, NHA, AMT, etc.) is required - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred - 5 or more years medical assisting and medical office experience - Medical Assistant certification required. - Demonstrated skill in venipuncture CPR certification is required - Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution.
