Summary: This position encompasses a variety of tasks to include but are not limited to operating a dump truck, rollers and other equipment while performing tasks related to street and alley reconstruction. Installation and maintenance of signs, as part of the Sign Maintenance Crew, and assisting with traffic counts and pavement markings as part of the R.O.W Crew. Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Crew Assignments Reconstruction Crew: - Operates various trucks: dump truck, backhoe, loader, roller, etc. while performing tasks related to street reconstruction and maintenance of City streets, alleys, drainages, rights-of-way, and other property - Hauls dirt, road base, asphalt, water, pipe, equipment, debris, and other material used - Uses hand tools and equipment for tasks associated such as shoveling, hammering, and picking - Performs routine preventative maintenance on trucks and equipment Right of Way (R.O.W) Crew: - Responds to calls regarding drainage, storm drain, and traffic obstructions; street glass; overhanging tree limbs; overgrown vegetation obstructing visibility; street mud and silt; alley repairs; downed signs; v...
