CNC Programmer / Machinist Department: Manufacturing Indirect: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Liberty, SC: Reporting To: Fabrication COE Manager: Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 / hour Description: This position will require the machinist to use manual as well as program, set-up and operate CNC equipment to assist the Mechanical Design/R&D group and Fabrication group with projects and production of parts. Key Responsibilities: - Ability to write and edit G-Code offline or at machine - Have basic mill and lathe experience - CAD experience, preferably Solidworks - Generate programs for Mills and Dual Spindle lathe using Mastercam - Manage tooling selection for Milling Centers and Turning Center - Learn processes and generate programs for CNC Laser welding - Works closely with Engineering on the design and planning of projects - Participate in process development and approval exercises for projects - Keep work area neat and clean Prerequisites and Requirements: - Ability to pay attention to detail and follow instructions - Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications - Good math skills - Proven proficiency in CNC programming & machining - Knowledge of tooling equipme...
