POSITION : Steward REPORTS TO : Executive Chef – Bayfront Convention Center Kitchen Manager – Erie Insurance Arena STATUS : Full time / Non-Exempt FACILITIES : Bayfront Convention Center: HOURLY RANGE : $15.00 - $21.00 per hour + Benefits Package POSITION SUMMARY: The Kitchen Steward is responsible for assisting in the cleaning and sanitizing of the kitchen and equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, washing dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, kitchen equipment and returning them to their proper areas, and assist with stocking. The Kitchen Steward must have the ability to creatively solve problems in a fluid environment. QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in public assembly facilities or hospitality industry preferred but not required. He/she must pass a background check. Candidate must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, other staff, vendors, and public. He/she must be well organized and detail-oriented. He/she must be able to work non-standard work week. Candidate must be able to walk, climb, lift fifty pounds and have manual dexterity and motor coordination. STEWARD JOB DESCRIPTIO...
