MDSearch is recruiting General Practitioners with Enhanced Surgical Skills (ESS) or Obstetrical Surgical Skills (OSS) to join Inuvik Regional Hospital, the sole hospital serving the Beaufort-Delta region. This role supports essential surgical, obstetrical, and emergency services for a broad rural catchment area. Cesarean section capability is required, and endoscopy skills are highly valued as they support the continued functionality of the operating room. Scope of Practice: Front-line surgical and operative obstetrical skills are foundational to maintaining a high-quality obstetrical program and supporting Emergency Department services. Your scope may include: Cesarean sections Endoscopy Open and/or laparoscopic procedures: Procedures within general surgery, urology, orthopedics, plastics, and gynecology The ESS/OSS physician serves as the local gateway to surgical specialties. Procedures are well supported by the local OR team, with opportunities to scrub in with visiting surgical specialists from Yellowknife.
