Description Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of one or more of the six pillars of the center related to Violence Prevention research, with special consideration given to researchers conducting research related to gun violence. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree. Have demonstrated excellent track record in securing federal grants and have developed a clear line of violence prevention research. Teaching responsibilities may include didactic sessions with graduate students, medical fellows and residents, and postdoctoral fellows as well as formal lecture opportunities within the department. Clinical responsibilities may include patient care depending on the candidate, including but not limited to outpatient treatment, outpatient consultations, inpatient consultations, and inpatient attending responsibilities.
